About Us

Hi, I’m Kalyani Clarke, founder of Cape & Islands Nanny Network. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked closely with children, families, and caregivers in many roles—including nanny, mentor, educator, coach, youth program leader, and active big sister. Through those experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be for families to find dependable, high-quality care they truly feel comfortable with. Living and working within a seasonal community has also shown me how important it is to support not only families, but the caregivers and local professionals who help our communities thrive year-round, including during the off-season.

That experience inspired me to start Cape & Islands Nanny Network: a trusted hub connecting families with experienced, local caregivers while providing the tools, training, and resources that make care relationships stronger and more sustainable. We do more than connect families with care—we offer onboarding support, professional development for caregivers, guidance for families and child-centered organizations, and programs that uplift children, teens, and parents alike. Cape & Islands Nanny Network was built with connection, trust, and community in mind—creating a space where families can find thoughtful, reliable support while caregivers feel valued, respected, and empowered in their work.

I specialize in strengthening the systems that surround children, families, and caregivers—helping organizations, programs, and families improve communication, recruitment, and overall effectiveness. My approach is simple: when families feel supported, caregivers are empowered, and programs run smoothly, children thrive.

I’m a proud graduate of Barnstable High School and hold a degree in Early Childhood Education, along with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential earned in 2024. Mentorship and youth empowerment have always been central to my work. I currently serve as a Community Mentor and Cheerleading Coach at Barnstable High School. I’ve also worked with our local 4-H, Girl Scouts, and YMCA, helping teens grow confidence, decision-making skills, and leadership ability.

Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my three younger brothers, celebrating my faith, and staying active. I bring the same energy, intention, and heart to my personal life as I do to every family and caregiver I support.

Empowering Caregivers – We believe caregivers deserve opportunities to learn, grow, and feel confident in the important work they do. Through mentorship, shadowing, training, and educational opportunities, we help caregivers build their skills, expand their experience, and develop meaningful professional connections.

Supporting Families – Families have different needs at different stages of life. Through our Curated Caregiver Directory and Family Support Services, along with childcare, enrichment, lifestyle support, baby gear, events, and other resources, we help families find practical solutions and trusted connections that fit their individual needs.

Building Community – We bring families, caregivers, local businesses, educators, organizations, and community providers together through events, workshops, classes, referrals, partnerships, and shared resources. Our goal is to make it easier for families to find their village while creating meaningful opportunities for local businesses and professionals to support the families they serve.

Giving Back – We believe being part of a community means finding ways to give back. Through initiatives such as Play With Purpose, we create opportunities for caregivers to gain valuable experience while helping make quality childcare and enriching experiences more accessible. We are also committed to developing additional community initiatives that provide meaningful support to families who need it most.
